The invaders arrived at 7:00 a.m. After beating down the back door, the armed intruders stormed into the Buffalo, New York home, seizing the terrified businessman who lived there and dragging him bodily downstairs. The man and his wife were detained while strangers rummaged through his property. When the invaders left several hours later, they took with them a computer, two cell phones, and an iPad that had been stolen at gunpoint.

Three days later, the victim?s property was returned by the gang that had committed this act of armed terrorism: The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency of the Department of Homeland Security. They had staged the paramilitary raid to enforce an arrest warrant for a charge of possessing child pornography, a disgusting but non-violent offense. The businessman was never arrested or charged with the offense, which appears to have been committed by a neighbor who hijacked his wireless internet connection.

No apology has been offered to the victim and his wife. After all, being a Federal Stormtrooper means never having to say you?re sorry.

Civic groups in Wenatchee, Washington are circulating a petition on behalf of a ballot measure forbidding the city government to install or use so-red light cameras without prior, express approval by voters and a two-thirds vote by the city council.

A few years ago, the municipal government of Wenatchee, like the governments afflicting many other cities nation-wide, signed a contract with the American Traffic Solutions, the corrupt corporatist entity that runs much of the immensely lucrative red light camera scam. That contract is set to expire in 2014.

Wenatchee residents understandably want to abolish the pestilence of red light cameras as quickly as possible. The tax-fattened elite ruling the city, however, is filing a lawsuit intended to stop citizens from circulating their petition, saying that this exercise of a basic civic right somehow intrudes on the supposed legislative authority of the municipal government.

At every level, our rulers ? and their corporate cronies -- assume that we and our wealth exist to serve their appetites.

People given to shameless self-indulgence might appreciate an odd delicacy called ?Turducken.? This consists of a roasted turkey that is stuffed with a boneless duck that itself is filled with a de-boned chicken.

The turducken offers something of an analogy for the radical Islamic terrorist groups called the Kosovo Liberation Army, or KLA, and the Iranian MEK, or people?s mujahedeen. But where the turducken is a monument to self-indulgence in good things, the KLA and MEK are massive concoctions of evil elements people wouldn?t expect to find together.

Both the KLA and MEK are nominally radical Islamic groups that follow Marxist ideology and are supported by the CIA. The KLA now rules the former Serbian province of Kosovo. The MEK seeks to control the government of Iran. Rep. Peter King, self-appointed auditor of the civic acceptability of American Muslims, has been an outspoken supporter of both the KLA and the MEK, in addition to being a fundraiser for the terrorist Irish Republican Army. For some reason, Mr. King has a taste for terrorist turducken.

The Arab League has passed a resolution calling for the UN Security Council to impose a ?no-fly zone? on Libya, which is in the throes of a civil war.

The Obama administration had insisted that an Arab League resolution would help persuade the Security Council to authorize military intervention through the NATO alliance, which is in everything but name the military arm of the United Nations.

Administration officials, including Defense Secretary Gates and Secretary of State Clinton, have also explicitly said that any U.S. military involvement must be ?authorized? by the UN.

Imposition of a no-fly zone in Libya would be an act of war. Nowhere in this discussion has there been mention of the fact that Congress alone has the constitutional authority to declare war on behalf of the United States. Our involvement in the UN is tantamount to a standing declaration of war that can be activated at the whim of foreign functionaries not accountable to us.

The House Homeland Security Committee?s hearings about the radicalization of American Muslims are a gratuitous exercise. The process through which young Muslims are radicalized is not a mystery; the Federal government does it all the time.

Over the past several years, provocateurs employed by the FBI have targeted religiously indifferent, socially marginalized young Muslim men, indoctrinated them in Jihad, and manipulated them into participating in phony terrorism plots. The recruiting pitch didn?t focus on the impudence of infidels for rejecting the so-called Prophet Mohammed and his god; rather, it focused on the fact that millions of Muslims are being killed and impoverished by wars waged by Washington abroad.

To understand how American Muslims can be "radicalized," why don?t we ask the people who have been most successful: Those who have orchestrated FBI provocation operations, and the architects of the foreign policy that has created so many converts to the jihadist cause? That?s the last place Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King wants to look.

The Transportation Security Administration, a branch of the Department of Homeland Security, is running an advertising campaign to recruit new agents to grope and fondle strangers at airports. Given the job in question, the agency should consider using the national sex offender registry as a recruiting pool. Maybe that was the point of what has been described as a DHS sting campaign targeting pedophiles.

Earlier this year, a Massachusetts-based internet provider shut down a website for the ?Precious Treasure Holiday Company,? which supposedly trafficked in child prostitution. The website?s proprietors diligently promoted it in forums frequently by pedophiles, chumming the waters in the hope of attracting child predators. One section of that website reportedly featured a ?catalog? of girls aged 8 to 14.

This loathsome operation, which was run out of the Cleveland office of the Department of Homeland Security, would still be in business if the ISP hadn?t suspended its operations. This production was brought to you by the people who hire the friendly folks who feel you up at the local airport.

Shortly after midnight on New Year?s Day, an explosion ripped apart Saints Church in Alexandria, Egypt, killing dozens and wounding roughly one hundred others.

The outrage felt by Egypt?s long-oppressed Coptic Christians was shared by many Egyptian Muslims. Hundreds of Muslims joined their Christian neighbors during Coptic Christmas worship services, acting as human shields to protect them from terrorist attacks.

Copts have long suspected that Egyptian State Security was complicit in the New Year?s bombing. Those suspicions appear to have been confirmed by documents seized from State Security archives. One of those documents, a December 2 memo describing the planned bombing as ?Mission No. 77,? outlines how the plot was organized by State Security in cooperation with a jailed Islamic terrorist. This was intended to be an application of the time-honored ?divide and conquer? strategy. But for a while, at least, it had exactly the opposite effect.

That bombing, remember, was staged by a government subsidized and supported by the Regime in Washington, which has its own ways of pitting Americans against each other.

On March 5, thousands of demonstrators swarmed the Cairo-area offices of the Egyptian State Security Investigations agency.
?We are fetching documents and looking for detainees,? explained Mohammed Abdel-Fattah as the crowd chanted: ?The people want the end of state security!?

This was not an act of collective lawlessness; it was an uprising against a lawless state.

Something similar happened in a London-area court. Roughly 600 protesters executed a citizen?s arrest of a judge in a case involving a tax victim who challenged his assessment. The tax victim asked three times if the judge was serving under his oath of office; when the judge refused to reply, the protesters arrested him for contempt of court. He was rescued by police, but as protest leader Roger Hayes noted, the point had been made: ?The judges are breaking the law in their own courts.?

Our own Founding Rebels would understand why people from Cairo to London are in revolt against entrenched official corruption. They would be puzzled over our own torpid acquiescence to the same.

Seven years ago, Chicago resident Richard Venecko committed an unprovoked assault that ended in the death of David Koschman. Venecko was roughly a foot taller and one hundred pounds heavier than Koschman. Only one punch was thrown, but Koschman?s head hit the pavement hard enough to result in a fatal brain injury. Venecko and his friends then fled the scene.

For seven years, Chicago Police have known that Venecko committed the assault; during that entire period, he has refused to cooperate with the investigation. Venecko is not required to incriminate himself, yet it is inexcusable for the police to close a homicide case without ever interviewing the suspect.

The details of this case were suppressed by the police, including the name of the suspect, until the matter was pried open by the Chicago Sun-Times. Venecko is a nephew of both Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, and of White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley.

As I?ve noted before, the credo of Communists and other collectivists is the following: What?s mine is mine; what?s yours is ours. People who subscribe to collectivist ideologies typically use such words as ?sharing? as euphemism for State-sanctioned theft, ?selfishness? as a condemnation of those who insist on keeping what they have legitimately earned, and ?compassion? as a synonym for the covetous hatred that propels efforts to expropriate private wealth.

Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, an ambulatory wad of cholesterol and collectivist bile, offered a remarkably pure specimen of this attitude in a recent interview with GritTV.

?We?re not broke,? Moore insisted. ?There?s a ton of cash in this country. . . . What?s happened is that we?ve allowed a vast majority of that cash to be concentrated in the hands of just a few people. . . We?ve allowed them to take that. That?s not theirs, that?s a national resource, that?s ours.?

Commissar Moore, of course, quite jealously guards the fortune he has made as an evangelist for collectivism.
