Will Grigg?s Liberty Minute

The Cold and Flu season is nigh on arrival. So it?s important to remember that the government that rules us has criminalized ownership of what it regards as excessive amounts of decongestant.
In 2005, Congress passed a measure under which purchase of non-prescription medicines containing pseudoephedrine are strictly monitored and limited. Attempts to purchase amounts above the limit are reported to the police and Drug Enforcement Administration. This is done for the supposed purpose of combating the manufacture of Methamphetamine, a narcotic widely available in any state or federal prison.
Last year, an Ontario, New York man named William Fousse became the first person arrested under that measure. His supposed offense was to buy a total of 400 Bronkaid tablets. Police couldn?t produced evidence Fousse intended to manufacture Meth, but he was convicted of a federal crime and sentenced to a year?s probation for the supposed crime of possessing a legal cold remedy.
Let us take back the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free.
