The Transportation Security Administration isn?t content merely to conduct illegal searches of innocent passengers at airport checkpoints, or expanding them to include busses, trains, and other modes of commercial travel. It has actually carried out at least one highway checkpoint operation in which automobiles and their drivers were subjected to a general warrantless search.
The TSA highway checkpoint operation took place last September in Douglas County, Georgia TSA spokescommissar Nelson Minerly claimed that the operation was supposedly ?intent on deterring would-be terrorists or criminal activity.? It wasn?t staged in response to any specific threat, and Minerly emphasized that ?We don?t advertise where they?re going to happen or when they?re going to be.?
This means that the TSA claims the supposed authority to search any vehicle using the interstate highway system at any time of its choosing.
The survival of the Fourth Amendment, or what?s left of it, requires the immediate destruction of the Transportation Security Administration.
Let us take back the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free.
