Will Grigg?s Liberty Minute

With the election over, this is a suitable time to propose an overdue reform: Every president should be impeached the instant he takes his inaugural oath, and subject to immediate trial and removal from office on his first proven violation of the Constitution.
Impeachment is not a criminal proceeding; it is intended to revoke delegated power once it has been abused. It is the constitutionally prescribed method of dealing with presidents, vice presidents, and judges accused of high crimes and misdemeanors, as well as conduct unsuitable to their respective offices.
There?s reason to believe that the Framers of the Constitution thought impeachments would occur frequently, given the tendency of ambitious men to abuse power.
Recent presidents have wasted little time violating their oath of office.Expediting the process of removing future presidents might force them to take that oath more seriously.
Let us take back the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free.
